Superb club facilities
Owners of berths at Marina West will become members of the Cruising Yacht Club of SA, widely recognised as one of the finest boating clubs anywhere in Australia. Members not only have complete access to the highest standard of Club facilities but also benefit from the full-time support of a professionally administered organisation dedicated to safe, enjoyable boat ownership.
The modern Clubhouse is the hub of on-shore activities and boasts an excellent 300 seat restaurant, adjacent indoor and outdoor bar areas, and an extensive under-cover patio overlooking the marina which is further complimented by meeting rooms and a landscaped barbeque area. Of course, first class shower and change room amenities are also provided.
Member Education
The Club looks after the boating knowledge of members through its Marine Academy which offers courses approved by the Australian Yachting Federation, suitable for novices and more experienced boaties alike. Subjects such as seamanship, boat handling, navigation and meteorology are presented by professional trainers to members with yachts and powerboats.
Boat Maintenance
Maintenance facilities including a slipway and crane wharf are provided for the exclusive use of club members. Club experts are available to advise on other maintenance work and special arrangements exist with external contractors and suppliers for the benefit of members requiring more extensive repairs.
Berth ownership
Berth owners at Marina West have the unique flexibility over the title of their berths because of the Club’s freehold ownership of the land and water, which is a distinct difference from other marinas. Owners therefore have the opportunity to treat their berths as freehold assets and can lease out or sell their berths to their advantage or as their circumstances and boating needs change.
